Our Gathering 50 years of Scuba diving

We are celebrating 50 YEARS in Scuba diving this year and would like to celbrate by hosting a gathering on the 20th and 21st April. We have Free Try-a-dives for Kids and Adults, age 8 upwards, in our indoor pool.Booking esential. Slide show on Saturday and Sunday on underwater Kerry. Declan Burke, Irelands leading Techinal diver, is offering workshops on Sidemount scuba and intro to Tec diving. We also have daily dives going on over the weekend. Instructor Development Course

Ireland has two IE's' again this year, so we are running two scheduled IDC. The first scheduled IDC is starting Thursday 16th May running up to the IE on the 25th and 26th. The Later IE is on 2nd & 3rd November with the IDC running starting Wednesday 23rd October. Sandra runs the IDC's on demand so when you want to do the course she will run it to suit your time off. Waterworld was again awarded the PADI Certificate of Recognition for Excellence. Congratulations Sandra on being awarded the PADI silver Course Director award for 2013. Sandra has ranked every year since the programme's inception. Sandra is a dedicated Course Director and one of the worlds top female Course Directors. She prides herself in giving each student individual attention and personalised counselling. She doesn''t just teach someone to pass the IE, she is also passionate that her candidates are confident, knowledgeable, and prepared enough to be effective PADI Instructors. With 20 PADI Specialty Instructor courses to offer her candidates and EFR Instructor trainer ratings Sandra provide her students with the skills needed to teach these special abilities. Through providing speciality instructor courses like these, Sandra can ensure that each person she trains has the ability to become a successful and in-demand diving instructor themselves.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC

The National Geographic is synonymous with quality and integrity and stands for Adventure, Conservation and Exploration. The National Geographic Diver programme may be conducted only at a National Geographic Dive Centre. We are proud to be able to say we are one of an elite group of Europe's top diver training establishments to qualify to offer this excellent course and the only dive centre in Ireland to do so. The course is structured in one of two ways. For new divers, it's a six dive for the Open Water Diver course, incorporating all the skills, theory and materials from the Open Water course. For qualified divers it's a two dive course. Both options include the National Geographic Almanac and DVD, which aims to broaden a diver's perspective and incorporate the three National Geographic values - Adventure, Conservation and Exploration - into diver training, and the extra skills required of National Geographic Divers.
